  • Competition registration process starts in October
    • Confirm team registration
    • Software downloads and training period.  
  • Project deliverables
    • Base Line Audit: Feb 13th
      • Submit first energy audit based on existing conditions
    • Energy modifications and audit #2: March 19
      • Modify Computer Building Information and Energy models 
      • Energy audit 2 based on efficiency modifications: 
      • Energy Generation System review: 
    • Fly around:  April 2
      • The computer-generated fly-around animation of their campus and gym will use the provided industry-leading professional software modeling tool
    • Design, Innovation and Impact Report:  April 16
      • The written report will contain the student’s insights and understandings gained during the challenges they faced while redesigning the gym and site elements in a smart grid environment
    • Scale model:  April 30
      • The scale model of the student’s gym design will be an architectural model of the building exterior and site plan
  • Competition Presentations  
    • Team Presentation (section finals):  May 5
      • The student team will present their scale model, matching animation fly-around and research report to a competition judging panel
      • The students will also create an actionable proposal to education officials that will promote renewable energy or energy conservation on their campus, based on their new sustainable environment knowledge and practice during the competition season
    • Team presentation (region finals):  May 9
    • Team presentation (global finals):  May 18
